Friendship Over?I'm not one for asking for advise usually. I have my closest friend of well over ten years dropping me for her work buddies. Who i cant stand. I have tried to get along with them but it all came to a head one evening. One work buddy in particular suggested My best friend was gay and then suggested (my being overweight) defied my age and that she should go fat to stay young just like me as I'm older than her. For my part I confronted my friend and advised her on her buddy. I came off as the bad person. We have tried to stay friends. I don't take part in her work socials anymore but its getting worse when the very person i cant stand is getting copied by my friend for her exact hairstyle and attitude. I want to walk away but its so hard. I really value her as a friend. But these changes are not the person I know. My personal opinion is that you need to develop some interests of your own that aren't dependent on your friend. Branch out, meet new people, make new friendships with people who share your current interests. -- Queenie Want more of Queenie's no-nonsense advice?
